WHISPERES ABOUT THE EP
" This release comes from the collaboration Volfoniq made with two japanese artists : Hyqo and Azzurro, both producing hip hop/abstract hip hop. The first track (Gishiki Dub) has been edited on a vinyl EP from Azzurro out on Loud&Proud records in Japan, december 2007. The second one was out on another EP during spring 2008". LCL " Volfoniq always shows me the other aspect of the groove. dub, hip hop, breakbeats...the sound of Volfoniq contains all these things, but entirely free from them ". Azzurro - august 2009 " A first encounter with japanese artists, I learnt a lot like during all the other musical and cultural exchanges of this kind I like so much. Japanese musicians have a sonic aesthetic very different from the occidental one, and at the same time a true culture of remix and a great talent for incorporation. MURMURES A PROPOS DU MAXI
" Ce release est issu de la collaboration de Volfoniq avec deux artistes Japonais : Hyqo et Azzurro, oeuvrant tous deux dans le hip hop/abstract hip hop. Le premier morceau (Gishiki Dub) a été édité sur un maxi vinyle d'Azzurro sorti chez Loud&Proud records au japon en décembre 2007. Le second a été édité sur un autre maxi vinyle au printemps 2008 ". LCL " Volfoniq me fait découvrir d'autres facettes du groove: dub, hip hop, breakbeats... le son de Volfoniq contient tout celà à la fois, sans pour autant en être prisonnier ". Azzurro - août 2009 " Une première rencontre avec des artistes japonais, qui comme tous ces échanges musicaux et culturels que j’affectionne m’a beaucoup apporté. Les japonais ont une esthétique sonore très différente de celle des occidentaux, une vraie culture du remix et un grand talent pour l’assimilation.
